I'm excited to introduce our 2025 Gold Country Gathering -California Classic Herdsire Auction donations. Every single one of them is extraordinary! I have had a lot of farms asking if I could get this boy back and here, he is!
3DS’ GIOVANNI
“We are very excited about this boy!” says Jessica.
So, what makes this boy spectacular? Giovanni carries himself on a balanced frame and has a correct bite.
He has a high degree of uniform fineness along with superior density. It is an incredibly bright fleece with highly organized crimp structure as you part along the shoulder, mid side and hip (and everywhere else)! The judges agree and have awarded him 19 first places and 7 Championships.
Giovanni is also a stunning color of rose grey! Can you imagine a color like this with those phenomenal fleece characteristics in your herd? It could happen with a breeding to Giovanni!
Thank you, Andy & Jessica Rogers of Spirit Falls Alpaca Ranch! Giovanni lives in Cook, Washington for the generous donation of a breeding to Giovanni.
Good luck to all the bidders!"
Paca Paradise Ranch and Picotoot’s Pack of Paca Farm proudly co-own Velvet's Templar! We are thrilled that we could provide him for the Gold Country Gathering 2025 Herdsire Auction! He will be at the show, come by and check out this boy!
VELVET’S TEMPLAR
We are extremely proud and excited to add this phenomenal male to our herdsire row. We plan on breeding him to several of our best. Templar continued to rise in his show performance as he aged and continued breeding.
Templar is fineness extraordinaire! He carries exceptional fleece qualities on a strong-boned, square frame with immense density, complete coverage, and gorgeous phenotype. Staple length is also wonderful. Fineness and uniformity of micron that continues to hold as he ages and is evident by his 2023 histogram at the age of 4. This male continues to improve as he ages and as he breeds. Templar is an exceptional example of what all alpaca breeders should be striving for.
His sire is Snowmass Best In Velvet whose offspring are raking in the color champions and judge's choice awards.
Templar's dam is true black. The color-producing possibilities are endless with this male as he has them all in his lineage.
Templar's lineage includes; Snowmass Velvet Touche, Snowmass Royal Bronze, Snowmass Quechua, Snowmass Royal Rose, Snowmass Best Man, Snowmass Best In Lace, Snowmass Best In Velvet, Jeronimo, MFI Cactus Jack, PPeruvian Guellermo, Silvio, Augusto, and MFI Peruvian Donovan to name a few. He is genetically stacked to propel any breeding program.
If you are looking for an amazing grey male, look no further! Proudly owned by Arapaho Rose Alpacas, Badger Canyon Farm, and Lassen View Alpacas!!
CRESCENT MOON’S NICAEUS
Nicaeus is a wonderful male! Between his perfect conformation, breathtaking fleece traits, and his amazing disposition he is definition of a stud!! His fleece is super dense, bright, fine, and uniform, also carrying a great degree of architecture for a grey. He has amazing substance of bone along with an amazing phenotype. He also is a clean grey only having 1 spot on his rump! His sire is none other than Crescent Moon’s Emmaus (Who is closed to outside breeding’s) and his full sister is super champion Crescent Moon’s Totally Scrumptious!
Genotype: Ee aa
Nicaeus will be in Washington, June through October, and will be in California, November through May and breeding’s are available at all farms.
Thank you, Karen Kelly, Kristen Long, and Steve & Lin Murray for sharing this special male with a lucky winning farm!
WAHOO from MaRS is everything you could want when adding appaloosa genetics to your herd. There's no compromising quality with this guy!
WAHOO! from MaRS
INCREDIBLE CHARACTER TO HIS FLEECE
EXCEPTIONAL STAPLE LENGTH
EXTREME FINENESS
UNIFORMITY
22 Progeny to date, 68% are spotted! Wahoo's offspring are claiming ribbons in the show ring and in the fleece shows. He's throwing spots without compromising the quality of the fleece, and he's adding to the uniformity!
Rare Appaloosa Genetics! Wahoo's dam is the closest appaloosa descendant to LF Del a Burl, the handsome appaloosa male that was exported to Germany. With his departure, these genetics were limited to just two females in the United States-- one of which is MaRS Dixie-- Wahoo's dam. Dixie is the only appaloosa descendant from LF del A Burl in the U.S. In Germany, Burl went on to produce 50+ cria, the majority of which are appaloosa and/or patterned.
